Canada Driving licence process for international drivers


Are you coming to Canada on Permanent residency visa, student visa or temporary work visa and you want to get Canada driving licence. This article is for British Columbia Class-05 driving licence ( For other provenience I will try to update ) for international trained drivers, through this licence you can Drive below list of vehicle . For more updates visit icbc.com frequently.

  • To drive cars, vans, trucks, construction, utility vehicles (2 axles maximum) and motor homes (may exceed 2 axles)
  • To tow trailers or vehicles up to 4,600 kg
  • To ride a limited speed motorcycle or an all-terrain vehicle (ATV)
  • To ride 3-wheeled vehicles but does not include 3-wheeled motorcycles (trikes) or motorcycle/sidecar combinations

Class-05 Driving test eligibility for International Drivers :
Should have 2 years or more on Car or other passenger vehicles 
Original driving licences from country your home country or other country ( No need of international driving licence certificate or book )

Red seal license

Immigrant who coming to Canada and want to work in such a registered occupation , they need to get license from there particular department in Canada.               For Electricians who want to work in Industrial side they need RED SEAL License.
